Water Filters: the ones I still recommend
Water filters are sold on lab claims and lived with through filter changes and flow-rate drop-off. I review the ones I have plumbed in or filled daily, and I track the part nobody mentions: the real cost per gallon over time.
A water filter degrades on a slow clock: the flow eases off, the cartridge bills stack up, and the taste drifts so gradually you stop noticing. The questions worth answering only surface a few cartridges in. Does the flow slow to a trickle? What does a year of replacements cost? Does the water still taste the way it did at the start? That is where these reviews are written from.
