As a vacuum, this has been great for a year - good on floors, reliable, the kind of machine you stop noticing because it just works. If you do not have shedding pets, that is most of what you need to know.
The pet problem
Here is the one real catch, and it shapes the whole decision if it applies to you. Pet hair wraps around the spinning mop and works into the mechanism, where it clogs and, left alone, starts to smell and go moldy. It does not ruin the vacuum; it is a weekly maintenance tax you pay in a house with a dog or a cat. That tax is the entire reason this sits at an 8 instead of higher.
What I like
- A great vacuum after a year of daily use
What annoys me
- With pets, hair wraps around the spinning mop and can clog it
- That clogged area can get moldy if you do not clean it regularly
Update log
A year in. Still a great vacuum; the pet-hair-on-the-mop upkeep is the one ongoing annoyance.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Mova P50 good for homes with pets?
It works, but plan on weekly upkeep: pet hair clogs the spinning mop and that area can get moldy.
Why an 8 and not higher?
Only the pet-hair-and-mop issue. Without shedding pets, a nine.
