Specs as published by the manufacturer or retailer, not measured by me.
On its own, there is little to fault. It is strong, it runs quiet, the app is good, and the night mode is a real low-and-silent setting rather than a marketing line. Two years in, none of that has slipped.
So the 7 is not a knock on the JF888 - it is about what else the money buys. Side by side, I think the Coway Airmega 450 is the better purifier for the price, and that is the comparison I keep landing on. Find the Jafanda discounted well under the Coway and the math changes; otherwise, look at the Coway first.
What I like
- Strong, quiet performance
- An app that is actually worth using
- A night mode that dims the display and drops to its quietest speed
What annoys me
- Out-valued by the Coway Airmega 450 at a similar price
Update log
Two years in. Still strong and quiet, app and night mode hold up. Stays a 7: good, but out-valued by the Coway Airmega 450.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Jafanda JF888 have an app and a night mode?
Yes to both. The night mode dims the panel and drops the fan to its lowest, quietest speed, and I run it nightly.
Why only a 7 if it is good?
Pure value. It is a solid purifier; I just think the Coway Airmega 450 does more for the money.
